Biased and unknowledgable
Just listened to the breakdown of the force awakens teaser. I was very disappointed by the lack of canonical knowledge of the two hosts, especially for having a podcast dedicated to Star Wars. From bashing on the "soccer ball droid", which was the original Ralph Mcquarrie concept for R2-D2, to the fact the it's very well known and easy to find that the empire stopped using clones a long times ago and started recruiting soldiers once they got too big to rule with clones alone, so John Boyega could easily be a real storm trooper. And it's very naive to think that an entire galactic empire was destroyed just from killing the emperor and blowing up one space station. Was it a good victory? Yes, but it was a battle, not the whole war. It also seemed like anything that didn't exactly replicate the original movies, they immediately put down and say it's awful or not what they want. Newsflash, this is not the originals. They will pull things from the first trilogy but if you're looking for a rehashing of those films, you should probably forget about seeing this at all. This is going to be Star Wars for a new generation, while bringing back enough of the old to satisfy most. Oh one more thing. "Speeder bike girl"? I know you don't want changes in the universe and story you've already written in your head, but belittling an actress who obviously has the chops to be cast in the biggest movie of the decade and perhaps many decades to come by consistently referring to her as "speeder bike girl" instead of her name (Daisy Ridley) was very disrespectful and frankly just dumb. Don't be so stuck in your own view of what you think this movie should be that you can't appreciate it for what it could be. For the record, the original trilogy are my favorite movies of all time and the prequels are some of my least, I just cannot for the life of me understand why some people refuse to give something new a chance. I believe in Kathleen Kennedy and JJ Abrams and will be there opening night to travel back to my favorite far far away Galaxy that I first encountered a long time ago.Read full review »

Changing 1 minunte into 20, is this some sort of black magic? More like the normal Star Wars fans conversation, only better.
