One Sided Interviews
Since changing hosts to April Baer the show has taken a much harder lean to the left. Interviews should have both sides of an issue discussed. No arguing or bickering, just open discussion. The Jul 29th interview with Rep Kildee had errors that were never fact checked. He stated "that less than half the unemployment recipients received more than what they were earning." Even congress has stated that 60% - 70% of the recipients received more than they were earning. He stated "if the $600 benefit was good enough then, it should be good enough now." He knows that the first bill was passed in haste over the objections of some that the benefit was too high. They were promised at the time that the amount would be revisited if the benefits needed to be extended. Which everyone knew they would have to be extended and I fully agree with that. However, now that they have had time they can intelligently determine a number that makes more sense. I really like the concept of the show, but there needs to be the entire picture presented to the listener when a topic is partisan in nature. It does not have to be a debate. Just both sides of an issue presented articulately so that we can be properly educated. Thank you.Read full review »
