“I listen regularly. Steve is an excellent analyst with an enormous grasp of the dynamics history and context of political events.
However, he has certain catch phrases and verbal tics which I don’t find endearing e.g.
“Yeah”
“We’re going to delve deep”
“In our time together “
“If it’s alright with you” etc
This may sound carping and trivial but it’s a bit tiresome. He has a naturally pleasant manner and doesn’t need to try so hard.
He is does good impersonations of Blair, Benn, Johnson and Harold Wilson.”
