The presenter is everything! So good. Let's have more. And Jill is not honest with herself or anyone else. They deserve each other.Read full review »

Well told story about nothing. Just a deceitful man love bombing a woman with a big ego.

I enjoyed this podcast very much except for one thing: it was difficult to hear most of the male voices, including Dean, the main character. PLEASE, in the future, coach your subjects to project their voices, at least a little. My hearing is fine, but I had to keep turning the volume up when male...Read full review »

Don’t bother if you don’t have a wondery subscription. You can only listen to the first episode. That’s too bad, as this story is interesting. But no, I’m not gonna subscribe. Yall will bleed us listeners dry. How many channels do we have to subscribe to.

Huge fan of Kerry Godliman she makes everything funny and interesting. I hope she narrates more podcasts.

Doesn’t matter what we rate the show or if it’s good or bad, by removing all but the first episodes to force people to pay for their stupid Wondrey , people will not even give new shows a chance. Good luck

I LOVED this podcast. It was narrated in a fun way. I listen to a lot of true crime podcasts and I will say that this has been my favorite so far.

It was a fun podcast, different than most crime podcasts we’ve listened to. I enjoyed the explaining at the beginning of each episode for the people in the US. Thanks for telling this story

She is incredibly self absorbed and selfish. She should not have children in her care. She’s nuts. I feel bad for the kids.

This woman must be impaired somehow. Gullible as f and even after the fast she stuck by him! Don’t know why I persevered with the story. It’s a non story.

I loved this but I have to say come on Jill throwing away your career, not putting your kids first, totally blanking some major red flags like his marriage! As for Dean he’s a career criminal they guys don’t change. They always get glowing prison reports and they always comply with any community...Read full review »

I so enjoyed the writing, production, and overall story telling in this podcast. So much fun but also very captivating. Well done.

This is Dateline w bad accents. A really really dumb cop falls for a conman criminal. What possibly could go wrong?

The crucial sentence in the whole podcast “if ever someone needs saving from herself,” - Jill is an embarrassment and I couldn’t finish the podcast because I can’t stand her victim mentality. She had the privilege of choice during her life, many people and women do not, so to spread her story of...Read full review »

I found this really interesting! Loved the narration of it and the star episode.

This was a breath of fresh air. Different true come podcast than I heard. BUT Jill quit lying your still in love with him. And DEAN she saved your life!

I found it a bit hard to get into initially but once I had it was a good listen and thought it was told very well and quite funny in parts. Definitely worth a listen but how deceitful - no forgiveness due there!

The story flow and humour of the narrator in this twisty and ultimately human story were a great listen.

Loved every episode ♥️

Very intense and fast paced and kerry is a fantastic story teller and host, but my god is Jill terrible and got everything she deserved despite painting herself as a victim. It’s no wonder her daughters no longer speak to her.
misk234 via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 08/26/23
I think the lack of mention of her other children throughout the whole thing is odd?! This woman didn’t give a crap about her kids! Selling stories to the sun is so tacky. I liked the format and presenter but I literally couldn’t believe how selfish Jill was.

I really enjoyed this podcast. I felt like the hosting choice of Kerry Godliman was an excellent one as well as the decision to tell this from Jill’s POV. It’s a great true crime love story that kept me listening! More podcasts with Kerry Godliman as host please!

A pair of dreadful people who got everything they deserved. Whichever way you look at it she should never have been a police officer and this story could have been over and done with in one episode.
hammarledgend via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 07/03/23
Far too much detail, her fake nail flies off during a date?? That’s not exactly gripping. Sorry but this is garbage. Glad I didn’t buy the subscription.

Brilliant podcast. When will there be season 2??
Sophia123 via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 06/22/23
An interesting beginning and it seemed like it was going to be a riveting story but it was too drawn out. Basically a story about a woman who had a history of poor relationship choices with no judgment at all and this pattern continues and then gets presented as love..

Totally engrossing. Hilariously told. Loved it!

…to the extent that a story with crime can be. The gruesomeness is not where you expect it to be.

While the story was engaging and infuriating, honestly the production of this podcast alone is 5 stars. I loved Kerry's narration intercut with the "characters" themselves speaking. The tone was superb throughout. I would love to listen to future tales, crime or non-crime related...Read full review »

Great story! FRFR! I listened to all episodes in one sitting. I couldn’t stop listening!! We all love the bad boy.. but when the fun is over … it’s hard! As the significant other you are treated like a criminal. I wasn’t an officer but I was a teacher. … He did 17 years and I’m traumatized as if...Read full review »

Love the story. Love the narrator and writing. The music and sound effects are very distracting and too loud. Particularly the distorted voice effects, which make it very hard to understand what’s being said. The story is plenty good enough to keep the listener engaged. No need for all the extra...Read full review »

I thought this was well-paced and well-told and a good listen, despite the fact that neither of the main characters is particularly likeable by the end of it all. And anyone saying Jill is a victim has not understood the dynamics of this relationship, she comes across in her final interview as a...Read full review »

I think this is one of the best podcast I have heard I really did get into the story and I actually give you 10 stars….
nail tech girl via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 04/24/23
Relatively good story but seemed to make light of very toxic behaviours that poor Jill has dealt with in her life eg the toxic misogyny in the police force, and dean’s narcissism. Without giving too many spoilers- I’m glad she’s happy in the end and that makes it a good story, but that could...Read full review »

Interesting story but a bit drawn out and it was pretty crummy to blame the victim for getting into this situation. You had an opportunity in the last episode to go into Dean as a master manipulator and the impacts of his emotional abuse, deception and manipulation of Jill, but instead you brush...Read full review »

A bit stingy not to let us listen to the last episode and we not buying a subscription for one episode. Sods
@suzigold1 via Apple Podcasts · Portugal · 04/09/23
I kept waiting for some kind of turn in the story, which would not have been hard for the story tellers to create - cast some doubt on his guilt or make us wonder whether Jill involved. Instead it was all very straight forward and boring.
