I have to stop listening when the host smuggles their political views into the show time and again. Better add a disclaimer at the beginning about your political stance if you can’t avoid it

The writing, the topics, the humor are all so well done.

The comedy dads podcast is truly amazing. The hosts Jacob Dale and Thomas Duffman truly have that comedic charm. Thanks for the podcast guys!

Loving this podcast!!! Great writing and a perfect wry humor too. Her report on the Stonewall uprising was excellent. (One I’ll assign to my students in my Queer Literature classes.)! We’re fans...!

Between the fascinating subject matter and Daisy's deadpan delivery style, this quickly became one of my favorite podcasts. I had to join the Patreon because one episode a week just wasn't enough. I appreciate the well-researched information presented. Though I am not fully a believer in...Read full review »

Daisy has too much oft her own opinion on the pod. It’s like every episode she’s whining about something.

Need to drop the constant political comments every 10 mins. We come to listen to a podcast!

This show is fun and entertaining. Daisys sarcasm makes the whole show. I can’t wait for whatever comes next ( maybe on a different network?)
kris5478 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 03/15/24
Lesbian feminist man hating left wing host. Would have been alright if she’d kept her political perspective out of it.
Danny dangler via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 03/13/24
Otherwise, when the episodes don’t involve religion, she does a good job writing & editing original content - which is rarer than you’d expect in podcasts relaying real life strangeness. Most others read user submissions verbatim (i.e. Scared to Death) and call it a podcast

It’s a shame the subject matter is ruined by the insufferable host

The sardonic, subjective, sarcastic perspective of the narrator is extremely depressing for anyone that believes in magic. Which is a shame because the subject matter can be interesting. It’s clear that she lives a very dark depressing existence. I’ve listened to a great many episodes but I think...Read full review »

Love this podcast. Daisy is an amazing writer and content creator. Her wit and voice accompany me through most of my day feeding chickens and training my puppy. I never feel alone when Daisy is telling me amazing stories.

I came for the subject matter. I stayed for Daisy’s fun and thoughtful writing.

Funny and compassionate view of unexplained stories. Whilst a little less thorough than some other podcasts, Daisy makes a great companion for the many long journeys I make for my work. 100% recommend.

Watching Daisy's response to recent events, reading her transparent experience to beginning a podcast with little to no direction; and watching her grow and improve in this field has been lovely to see. Latest episodes have been excellent, in my opinion. ❤️Read full review »

Daisy you’re the best. Love the content and length but what I really like is your personality. You are the type of person I’d be friends with. Keep up the good work. The end of your pod is the best I’ve heard and you know what I mean. Boo MAGA democracy killers. ❤️

I really want to love this podcast, the stories are fantastic and how you talk about them are good too, but I struggle with the negative commentary in every single episode of white men, not all of us are automatic abusers, slave owners, evil colonisers, cheats and scum bags, but somehow that’s...Read full review »

I’m a fairly new listener but I haven’t had the displeasure of listening to a single episode without scaring anyone around me with the random burst of laughter that escapes me. You’re so funny I’m living for it

Daisy is a great host. She is a great story teller and I love the other voice actors she incorporates into the stories. Daisy has a wonderful soothing voice. Can’t wait for more episodes!

I am totally absorbed by these interesting stories plus Daisy’s dry humor cracks me up.

I love Daisy’s voice and her tone telling tales is great! Daisy’s delivery and humor is impeccable. This podcast is informative, interesting, and it’s all told by Tony award wining and theatrical inspiration Daisy Eagan. Awesome!

Daisy is great I love her commentary and overall general since of humor. I always find myself chuckling along.

I enjoy the show and the topics but more and more the host is a bit too sarcastic and cynical. Sometimes she hits it and it’s funny but it’s getting to be too much. It seems like every other sentence it’s her pointing out how stupid someone is or how the world needs to be more feministic. Yes...Read full review »

I’ve been listening to this show for years and overall enjoy it but you have the same male voice actor doing the male voices in many episodes. I struggle with insomnia ever since I was in a coma for 45days. I found this podcast by accident searching for something else. I was hooked. And now listen to fall asleep to. One of the best podcasts I’ve discovered in recent years. I actually couldn’t get enough, so I joined their Patreon. Definitely worth a listen if you like spooky stories and a heavy dose of sarcasm and cynicism. Keep up the incredible work!

Daisy Egan’s podcast salad - start with a decent true story, throw in some extra research, add many unfunny jokes, sprinkle plenty of nasty asides, and then dollop on a huge ladle of woke mush-mouth virtue signalling, and finish it all by labelling it #WhiteManBad. Viola! A perfectly awful woke...Read full review »

1 minute in I tapped out. If listening to a Butch Dike hate men is your thing, This is the podcast for you. Had I listened further I’m sure her hate for white people and America in general would have been front and center as well.

Some days when everything’s all too clear and obvious, all I need is a little Strange and Unexplained. With stories that hook me no matter how absurd, great writing, and perfectly pitched delivery by Daisy, I get out of the car better off.

Interesting topics, but too Woke for my liking. I’ve been listening for about a year and the SJW stuff just got more and more frequent, so I can’t do it anymore…

Fascinating topics. However, the host sometimes rumbles off-topic and gives personal comments, trying to be funny or sarcastic.

I’m so happy I found this podcast!!! The topics are great and it’s a perfect format for this busy working mom who often has to start and stop episodes I’m between carpools, work calls and gym time! Listened to the Harry Price episode. A lot of the women she talks about (eg Helen Duncan) were extremely vulnerable, troubled and abused people. The way this host speaks about them is extremely cruel, judgmental and harsh. If her jokes were funny it might be less unbearable.
