Interesting story annoying format
I’ve listened to almost every true crime podcast since Serial. This case is compelling especially because I was born and raised within a few miles of Koreatown. The best true crime podcasts, in my opinion, include interviews and other audio to support the narrator’s story which this podcast has. What I find completely unnecessary is Ben as his role is only to ask stupid questions and make even stupider comments. This would have been a 5 star review if the podcast only had one narrator who it seems did all the investigative work anyway. She’s the one who’s bilingual and seems to conduct all the interviews. I really hope if there’s a season 2, they change the format and get rid of Ben.

More reviews of Strangeland
I honestly thought it was pretty lame and didn’t need ten episodes. I listened to all of the episodes. Do not recommend. This is my first review on a podcast show too lol. Save your time. This was definitely a miss.

Case is very interesting, glad it is being told. However I did not enjoy the way the story was told or the voices, sounded like I was being told a murder story by a 10 year old boy who asks too many questions

Skips and editing issues rock this ad-heavy podcast, slowly paced and overly “informational,” like they’re teaching a general audience. Not for me
