“I enjoy listening to murder cases, and it doesn’t matter whether a case is especially unusual. But this case was purported to be extremely strange, and it frankly wasn’t. It’s almost like the hosts overpromised and underdelivered. Ben playing the “straight man” role was a bit disingenuous; he obviously knew the answers to some of his criminal investigation questions. I agree with many reviewers that both hosts sounded very scripted, which is a shame after they put all that work into investigating. The episodes get more dragged out toward the end. All in all, I made it through, but wasn’t blown away.”
