So bad I have to stop listening
I've listened to some other fictional podcasts that I enjoyed, but this one is just so bad, I'm on episode 5 and just can't listen anymore. The title character (the male reporter, I don't even know his name after five episodes) delivers the dialogue with the same affect, whether he's speaking to his fiance or discovering a severed hand in a box. The sound effects - particularly the sound that is used to differentiate between spoken dialogue and the many, many inner monologues - are so grating and distracting and give the whole thing a very corny vibe. The story in general is also just kind of ridiculous. Hard to believe it's Stephen King! Maybe in print it was less so, but in this format I just can't get behind any of it. Sorry to say but I cannot recommend this one.Read full review »

Meh
Hmm I’m gonna guess the narrator with headaches and insomnia blacks out and murders people but I can’t get past the bad dialogue to find out.

I enjoy the story and performance, but the high pitch sound effects make me feel sick literally. Wherever it happened i had to fetch for my phone to skip those parts. Please use some alternative effects in the show.

I really enjoy the main character. I think he’s a guy you can really get behind and enjoy the story with.
