Politics pod masquerading as a legal pod
I do like the other Crooked pods for what they are: unapologetic hyper partisan political commentary. They are entertaining and they don’t require a lot of focus to listen to. This one for some reason I was expecting something a little more intelligent. Besides the constant stream of verbal tics that is crooked’s signature style (“like, but like, I mean, right?”) what really bugged me is that it’s 90/10 political to legal content. I was hoping to learn something. Silly me.

For as often as the hosts critically discuss gender politics at the Court, notably missing is any critical discussion of social class or class politics at the Court. The hosts are insiders and their criticisms barely scratch the surface.

This show is amazing. The best shows, amazing intro music (I’m obsessed) and of course their legal analysis is always insightful and spot on. I learn so much every episode and am so grateful for these ladies!!
