Stories
Our life stories are so important. The stories of incarcerated persons are not often told and Suave does an amazing job of describing to the listener of what happened in his life. The podcast helps the listener to understand the importance of psychotherapy (as he doesn’t describe obtaining much) while incarcerated as well as the need for education and assistance upon release. Finally, this helps the listener understand the importance of understanding adverse childhood experiences as to why someone engages in a behavior - not to excuse it - to help others better understand someone’s lived experiences. Bravo! I hope to hear more stories like this and soon!

I listened to the first episode of Suave as I cooked dinner last night and now I am hooked. Maria Hinojosa and the Future Studios team have done an amazing job with this podcast. Thank you for humanizing incarcerated people!
