“This is one of the great podcasts of my experience. Wes Alwan, a philosopher, and Erin O'Luanaigh, a teacher and poet, are the two amiable, intelligent, and deeply thoughtful hosts who guide the listener on a discussion of some of the great works of literature and film. The hosts discuss the selected work of the show from several angles — the psychological, the philosophical, and the aesthetics — as well as providing historical and background context. This description makes the show seem dry when it is quite the opposite; it is lively, funny, and deeply thoughtful, insightful, and intelligent. I am always learning new things even about works with which I am very familiar. The two hosts have carefully researched and prepared for the show, and there is really no wasted time.
