So glad I found you. Left organized religion years ago. But am drawn to your experiences as survivors of fundamentalism and cultish influence. Looking forward to season 2. Keep up the good work. Laura, please consider tamping down your use of “yeah” when acknowledging what your co-host and guests...Read full review »

I really appreciate the topics that are covered in the podcast. I’m listening to vacation bible school episodes now and find that the gossip section and the snacks section were not my jam. I would love timestamps in the notes so I can fast forward to the episode topic. I also find there’s a bit...Read full review »

Love this podcast. As someone healing from religious trauma from evangelical fundamentalism . This podcast offers me so much comfort hearing stories of others reminds me I am not alone in how I responded to high control religion and that there is a help and resources and community out there.

I’m glad I found this podcast while sorting through my own religious trama. Overall it’s great and I would love to give it five stars. After a couple of other episodes I jumped right to the Religious Trauma for Queer People episode when it dropped. This was my episode! Unfortunately I almost...Read full review »

They speak to the exact topics I need to hear and give so...Read full review »

I left the church a long time ago, but just recently have been ready to grieve what I lost and not just be angry about how conservative evangelical Christianity damaged me. So glad to have trained professionals talking about this.

The unscripted rambling from topic to topic was tedious to listen to, and I shut it off after 40 minutes. I recommend the hosts sharpen their focus, organize their thoughts, and stick to the theme of the podcast.

I noticed that you quickly received a 1 star rating. I’m sure this podcast will be faced with opposition from the very people that are causing or are complicit with religious trauma. Take time to listen with an open mind. This is a valid podcast that exposes deep rooted issues within the church.

That bit about him introducing you as pastors (apparently meant to be funny) is not funny. I went to hit stop until Laura chimed in. That is an absolutely awful way to introduce yourselves. It’s flippant at best, and at worst offensive to your target audience, yet it goes on. I request that you...Read full review »
