Toyota is going Supercars, the news that overshadowed the Sandown 500 and another GP win for Oscar Piastri

It is a news story more than 20 years in the making, but the largest vehicle manufacturer in the world, as opposed to the manufacturer of the largest vehicles in the world, has signed up to go Supercars racing. Toyota joins Australia’s largest motor racing series in 2026 with Walkinshaw Andretti United and one other yet-to-be-identified team for at least five seasons.
