Poorly written with stale narration
I’m sorry to submit such a bad review but I was very disappointed by the quality of this podcast, especially considering it’s professionally produced by a company with a deal with Spotify. The writing for this show is poor. The casual tone and style of the writing — including limited or basic vocabulary — contrasts heavily with the historical and “traditional” (these are superstitions, after all) content of the show. The writing is also very American which sounds jarring in the aggressively neutral white male British narration. Your other show “Tales” does a much better job of retelling old stories with zest. If you want your show to have British old timey vibe then at least write it as such. Having a guy from the south of England read your script isn’t enough. The show “Folklore of the British Isles” is a better example of retelling folklore and superstitions in an engaging but appropriate tone.
