“I've been loving the podcasts to come out of Gimlet Media, and was excited to hear they had launched a new one. However, on first listen of the initial two episodes, I am left underwhelmed.
The base concept is a great idea, but the execution is lacking in either intrigue or charisma (or both?). I genuinely want to be drawn in and intrigued by a seemingly boring topic, and I actively tried! Though I just couldn't stay tuned into the story, and kept drifting (I naturally focus easily).
That said, I won't unsubscribe just yet and will wait to see if the two presenters and the team behind them find their feet after a few more episodes.”Read full review »
