Really engaging
I’m very happy that mental health is something which can be discussed this openly. The way mental health issues affect people differently is expressed really articulately here by people who have first-hand experience of many different manifestations of what is typically categorised under the broad heading ‘mental illness’. That it affects each participant in the podcast differently indicates how varied these manifestations actually are. I would recommend anyone who is affected by ‘mental illness’ to listen to this. But more, I recommend anyone struggling to understand the concept of mental illness to listen, as a great deal can be learned. It’s also very funny, which helps. On the strength of this I’ve bought the host’s book, which I will no-doubt review positively. She’s a wonderful spokesperson for the subject. And also very funny.

More reviews of Susan Calman's Mrs Brightside
Thank you for ending my search for shows that have Susan Calman in them. (Loved the show where she did things that fascinated other people, too) She has a show now, where I can go whenever I want to laugh, cry and wonder. Plus - the episode with Felicity Ward made me get up today. You rock!

It’s wonderful to hear people talk so candidly about something so personal and help brake down the stigmas around mental health. Thank you so much Susan for doing this and still finding the bright side.
