Love this podcast - thank you Susan Calman for hosting it and to all your guests for appearing on it - it’s funny, serious, intelligent, silly - and importantly, just so human.

Intolerable host - why bother interviewing brilliant lovely people like Jessie Cave but then just speaking over them constantly? Never listens / interviews, just talks about herself constantly.

I’m new to podcasts and though I’d start with Susan after reading her books this summer. I’m in love!! I’d like to be your friend please Susan! The content is refreshing yet serious. Let’s talk about our mental health and remove the stigma!

You know there are others out there and yet you always feel so insular. This really helps to dispel that notion and helps with ways to face your anxiety. Thank you.

New to podcasts & I’m totally addicted. Amazing hearing people taking about stuff that I so relate to. I never realised people suffer the same level of anxiety & depression that I do. So glad people are talking about it. I’m learning so much.

Hello, I really enjoy these podcasts, mostly for the insight on how people with anxiety and depression feel. I don’t have depression but I have a friend who does and my daughter has what I see as a complicated character. Listening to these podcasts I am learning to listen and learning how...Read full review »

I’ve listened to Susan’s episodes on Sofie Hagen’s MOHpod on repeat and am so glad to have found this podcast in time for Christmas, it’s already been super helpful to escape to amid the holiday family drama, thank you!

It’s great to listen to people being so honest about their mental health. As a fully paid up member of the depression club I think it will help towards breaking down the stigma and also persuaded me to buy “Cheer Up Love” (also highly recommend).

Started listening to these whilst running. Running my saviour during stressful times and often my way out of dark depressive phases. This podcast has made me smile, made me cry (yes you can cry when you run) and made me see how not alone I am. The more depression and mental health are discussed...Read full review »

As an artist my greatest fear is for my work to lose all credibility. I can say this with complete confidence having just listened to Susan’s conversation with Mark Watson and witnessing their fears laid bare. Impending poverty has always been a driving force for me, so to be incapacitated would...Read full review »

Listened to most of these, but there is some difficulty for me finding nearly an hour to devote to concentrating on something that is so close to home (had difficulty concentrating for an hour for my CBT phone call!). Loved the episode with Felicity Ward. Wouldn’t say all the episodes are “enjoyable” but that isn’t the point. I am very glad I’ve listened to this.

Always fascinating to hear other peoples experience and perspective. Personally, good to hear everyone’s positive experience of CBT. Going to have to bite the bullet and give it a go.

These podcasts have helped me identify the strange notions/ thoughts/ symptoms I have and look for ways to reduce them. I identify with Susan when she reports that the “good” aspects of her anxieties/ depression make her a caring and lovely person. Carry on the good work.

Calman is such a great host, and all of the guests so far have been brilliant. Really honest chats about some big topics, but I still found myself laughing out loud and embarrassing myself on the bus. It’s informative, useful and entertaining. I love it.
