What a great podcast, no annoying back and forth about, just the layout of facts, peppered with a bit of deadpan sarcasm, a la Fight Club. This here dude, known only as A Concerned Citizen, reminds me of The Narrator in that aforementioned film. His voice is so mesmerizing and hypnotic that you...Read full review »

Very well researched, excellent narration. Always enjoyable to listen to Loved hearing Jack Luna in your Swindled Valued Listener commercial. Fun surprise!

Man the pod is good but this guy narrating seems like a very smug individual imo

Outstanding, unique, and above all important as it’s the ONLY podcast that explores so-called white collar crime! Swindled is easily in the top three of “true crime” podcasts in terms of the quality of production, the precise and elegant writing, the engaging storytelling, soundscape, superb use...Read full review »

I enjoy most of the shows but I’m not crazy about the abrupt endings.

I was so happy to see that a new season of Swindled was out. This is one of my favorite podcasts. Well written and I love the host’s dry sense of humor.

I love your podcast but…. Can you please, please, please increase your volume? I’m always having to rewind many moments because not only is the sound too soft (even when my device is turned up to high) but you are a very fast speaker. I love the tone of your voice and I love the evidence based...Read full review »

This podcast is so well researched, and the stories are woven together so beautifully. Truly one of the best podcasts out there. No chitter chatter, just excellent reporting. A Concerned Citizen drops little scathing jabs like bread crumbs in his monotone delivery that are deadpan, and hilarious....Read full review »

The content is well researched, the presentation is free of the time wasting banter that accompanies some podcasts, and I enjoy A Concerned Citizen’s calm voice as he speaks presents serious topics but with a bit of his own sense of humour thrown in.

One of my top three podcasts. Interesting and encapsulating stories with a factual delivery that has little sprinkles of humour. Big fan here 🫶🏼

I love the disdain and disgust CC has for the criminals, swindlers, murderers, rapists and other SCUM he exposes.

Is this show done or are wrapping it up? I haven’t seen anything now since late summer. Thankyou for all your hard work! We love you maybe you’ll come back someday in the future Bye

Really well done! No fanfare, just the stories - plus a nice smattering of (well done) dry humor. Easy to listen to and I always learn a lot.

I’ve loved this podcast for a couple years until today, when I was listening to the PG&E episode while I was taking a shower and I had to come flying out of the shower soaking wet to shut it off so I was not forced to listen to absolutely disgusting graphic depictions of animal abuse. I...Read full review »

With all of the true crime ladies laughing at themselves on their podcasts, I appreciate learning something from every Swindled show. No frills, just facts. Looking forward to more eps.

I have been listening for about a year now and really enjoy the stories and live the way they are told. So informative

…before making a judgement. At first listen, the monotony of the host’s voice is almost distracting. But by the end of the first episode I listened to, I appreciated the no nonsense facts and no fluff.

Season 4 episode 57 “The Saint” was a total hatchet job on Mother Teresa bereft of any journalistic integrity. The insufficient supply of analgesics in India for cancer patients and the terminally ill is well documented. Pain killers such as morphine were not readily available. I always come back to this podcast. True Crime is so often just brutal murder cases, with more or less research… this is different, white collar to shake your head and get angry, interesting, made very good and with a certain inner conviction. Thank you very much. I‘m a concerned citizen.

I was excited to listen but got fed up with the anti-centrist anti-conservative bile. It forces you to wonder how much of what he says is true. I would avoid the self-torture and find something better to listen to.

Good true crime podcast focusing mostly on financial and corporate crime. A bit too much e-begging but it’s a decent show.

Love the story telling style and the uniqueness of the production. The short stories at the beginning are a treat! It has that unique Austin flavor a bit weird sometimes but awesome.

The subject matter is important and incredibly interesting and informative, but the monotone host and the production level leaves a lot to be desired.

Kilpatrick’s prosecution amounts to no less than a modern day lynching. If our current Mayor, Mike Duggan, was held to the same standard, he would’ve been hanged long ago.

This podcast is my all time favorite. I love it so much that I will deal with being incredibly overwhelmed and annoyed by the constant scratching noises used to distinguish when he’s using an audio clip. It’s like nails on a chalk board. I typically listen to ridiculous and silly spins on podcasts. This is one of my only “serious” podcasts I listen to. But I hear you and your subtle sarcasm and humor. Great research, thought provoking, and makes me rethink a ooyof long ingrained perspectives on the world.

Loving this podcast more than any of the other true crime podcasts I’ve listened to recently. Love his monotone voice, while others may hate it, it actually keeps me more entertained and focused on the show. Story telling is great and I love the introduction stories that leads into the main one.
