Learning a lot about how to practically make film
Listening to this podcast, it kind of makes me surprised that men can direct at all, since it seems like the everyday work women do—scheduling, getting work done, troubleshooting, staying on a budget, logistics, conflict management, etc. I also like learning about behind the scenes jobs that women do that never gets talked about. I would love it if April talked to casting directors about how to spot talent. For example, I was watching Scott Pilgrim and it’s got Aubrey Plaza, Brie Larsen, Anna Kendrick, Chris Evans...I don’t know how they managed to get every up and comer in there! I think the casting directors are all women too
