Maybe they do
Ladies our time is now! I started listening to this show because I heard an ad on a show my boyfriend recommended. I had started a screenplay about an abusive break up and the family of women who helped me through it. But I stopped because I didn't think people, especially women from my small town in Ohio wrote films. Listening to all these amazing female filmmakers, writers, actors, and visionaries... I am starting to think maybe they do. I'm at 7,000 words and counting. As a feminist film can be a tough navigation but it's amazing to hear I am not alone. The discussion on Rosemary's Baby could be a sociology lecture. This show isn't just good it's necessary. Five hundred stars!!Read full review »

I don’t even especially like genre films but I sure am happy to have April Wolfe in my podcast library. Thoughtful insights from April and conversations with great lady filmmakers make this one of my new favorites. It wasn’t easy to get through the Bone Tomahawk episode but I’m glad I stuck with it.
