I had started a screenplay about an abusive break up and the family of women who helped me through it. But I stopped because I didn't think people, especially women from my small town in Ohio wrote films. Listening to all these amazing female filmmakers, writers, actors, and visionaries... I am starting to think maybe they do. I'm at 7,000 words and counting. As a feminist film can be a tough navigation but it's amazing to hear I am not alone.
