“The lesson this podcast teaches is to get a 2nd opinion, 3rd opinion, 4th opinion! 5th opinion if you have to. Don’t give up in your pursuit of an accurate diagnosis!! The squeaky wheel gets the oil. Don’t give up until you can find that practitioner who accurately diagnoses and treats you. Don’t give up!! The pursuit of accurate diagnosis. Also if your insurance declines to cover something, APPEAL, APPEAL, APPEAL, APPEAL! You’ve got to stick up for yourself. You’ve got to speak to clinicians/licensed independent providers/ PCP’s in a straightforward manner where you say, “Ok. This treatment isn’t working. Perhaps I’m misdiagnosed.” Get a 2nd opinion. Advocate for yourself. Don’t give up. Seek treatment that works. Seek an accurate diagnosis!! I like the background music & the background sound effects of the monitors in the background. How terrifying would it be that your immune system is your enemy as with autoimmune diseases?”
