This used to be the most palatable dev podcast but then a corporation bought it and it’s more and more corporate by day. I don’t know who CJ is and indont care. We liked the old show. I guess we all sell out at some point. Time to look for another podcast.

The recent changes in the formatting if the show makes the audio experience feel like the second class experience which is a shame for me because it is my preferred way. I love the show but so not have the time to consume this show if not audio (my commute and walks)

I’m married to a developer who loves driving through the night on road trips. This is our go to podcast for him to listen to while driving. He gets to stay up to date on new tech trends, while we listen to the soothing voices of the hosts and occasionally learn new coding terms and concepts...Read full review »

Syntax is one of the best podcasts for web/js out there. It’s informative in a way that the listener will never get bored. Keep it up

As a relatively recent listeners I enjoy almost every episode. I don’t understand it all so I appreciate the breadth of topics which partially disguises my “noobness”. A thing which I’ve found detracts from a podcast is not being able to readily distinguish who’s talking at any one time. This is...Read full review »

It’s an amazing podcast. Wes & Scott are probably my favourite podcasters for javascript technologies. I’ve hopped on & dropped off various pods in between but this has been one relationship that’s going well for almost 5 years. I have started to find it going down a little as I’ve picked...Read full review »

I will record the sound of your voice so i can pleasure myself to it later…

Scott & Wes (aside from covering a wide variety of topics well) seem like genuinely pleasant human beings. I might myself have remained working as a software developer if I had peers like them. They should breed.

The intros are really loud and obnoxious, and it seems to get worse with time. They are overwhelming if you have a sensory processing issue caused by ADHD, autism, etc. I can’t have this podcast in a passive playlist while doing other things, since I have to consciously prepare for and try to...Read full review »

Please stop putting ads in the episode descriptions and put the actual description in instead. It’s much more accessible for people who want to decide which episodes to listen to instead of reading the same ad copy on each show.

Thank you both so much for taking the time to create this podcast. As a developer I sometimes struggle with picking up new concepts. I’m also very much an auditory learner. This is my favorite podcast! Scott and Wes are so upbeat and fun to listen to. I think they have a good mix of topics, from harder technical material (which they do a good job of explaining) to the “soft skills” that all developers need to have. Thanks boys!

As someone who is just now learning the ropes of web development, listening to this podcast is helping me so much. The most recent one about mental health was probably the best one I’ve listened to so far. You guys rock and please keep on putting out this great stuff!!!!
