Description
In 2023, passenger volumes closely approached pre-pandemic levels, as detailed in our latest comprehensive Global Passenger Volumes 2023 review. T2RL projections for 2024 are between 4.5 and 4.8 billion passengers boarded. This year may be pivotal for the drive to shift from EDIFACT to New Distribution Capability (NDC). The level of awareness of NDC among sellers, distributors, and IT vendors is getting higher. In our second OOSD update in 2024 we concentrated on the IATA standards NDC and ONE Order, but over time it has become clear that these are just two aspects of a wider-ranging move to a more retail-oriented approach by the world’s airlines. In this podcast Ian Tunnacliffe is joined by Bert Craven and Ian Luck to unpick the detail on market initiatives and developments to modernise airline sales and fulfilment technology.Download the free summary report https://insight.t2rl.com/OOSD-Status-Report-May-2024/summaryreportrequest.html
