I LOVE this podcast
I recently discovered The Spectator, thanks to Talk Radio, and was browsing to find an easy-on-the-ear, enjoyable podcast to listen to. This is just a dream. It’s an enveloping marshmallow comfort cloud of a listen but it’s also so intelligent and informative; additionally, the two presenters have such lovely voices that I’m thinking of going for elocution lessons ! I particularly loved the Cressida Bonas interview, but also the Marcus Wareing interview. Having watched Marcus on Masterchef for many years, this interview was very enlightening. Adrian Chiles was also an extremely good listen. What a brilliant podcast - a ray of light and sunshine. I shall recommend this to everyone I know. Thank you for a really fantastic podcast.

Food connects us all. I have really come to love this podcast, I am not sure if I am the target audience on long journeys, I tend to turn to spectator radio. The podcast is a biographical piece which discuss the guest life experience through the prism of food.

Lovely interviews especially with chefs and cooks. My only gripe is the peculiar pronunciation by the presenters of 'cook' and 'book'!Read full review »

The guests might sometimes be dull, and sometimes not even interested in food, but the hosts are wonderfully charming and perceptive. Some of the podcasts, such as that featuring the estimable and eloquent Fuchsia Dunlop, are stellar and worth more than one listen.
