Lovely!
What a lovely podcast! I put off listening to this sometime; I came to the Spectator podcasts via an interest in politics and current affairs, and presumed that I would find foodie discussion boring. But it’s actually fascinating to hear about people’s relationship with food from their childhood on, and find out about their lives through the lens of food. It’s just lovely to listen to and is from today one of my must listen podcasts. It’s also provided a welcome break from politics and current affairs. Well worth a listen! Top notch radio programme.

The presenters speak beautifully and knowledgably at all times. The Fuchsia Dunlop interview is a particular treat, as the guest treads politely, and with almost musical gifts of expression, around the issue of why Brits have such poor taste in food.

Lovely interviews especially with chefs and cooks. My only gripe is the peculiar pronunciation by the presenters of 'cook' and 'book'!Read full review »
