Listen now
Description
More and more people are wanting to follow a plant based diet for health reasons and also ethical reasons. Whilst the research does support that a plant based diet is beneficial for gut health (and other areas of health), many of the claims online are inaccurate. You may also find that switching to a plant based diet overnight can cause problems with your IBS. In this episode The IBS Dietitian Kirsten Jackson speaks to Dr B, New York Times best selling author of Fiber Fueled. Dr B is a world famous US gastroenterologist and a huge fan of educating the public on evidence based nutrition (aka no fads!). Mentioned on the podacast - Dr B's website: https://theplantfedgut.com/about/ Andrew Reynolds study: https://journals.plos.org/plosmedicine/article?id=10.1371/journal.pmed.1003053
