Dishonest Criticism of Talmud
Today's podcast (Fri. 13 of March) either deliberately or mistakenly interpreted a portion of the Talmud, and then brazenly criticized the rabbis of the Talmud ("I'm sorry to have to disagree with Rav on this point") by arguing againt a position which they never held. The hubris shown in criticizing the rabe'im was only overshadowed by the ignorance of the hosts arguments. (Specifically, the Talmud was definig a dwelling too small by the height of it's walls (10 tefachim or 3.9 feet) and NOT by the square footage of the floor.)Read full review »

More reviews of Take One Daf Yomi
I have been looking for just such a podcast and now I found it. Wonderful thoughts on a Talmud passage every day, thus going through the Talmud in seven years. The presentation (speaking) is very pleasant and easy to listen to. Thank you!!!

Take One is a great entry into the Talmud and Daf Yomi; it’s short enough to do it daily (Mon-Fri) and stay current. If you want more on any given day, or every day, there are other DY podcasts and site, but do try to stay current via Take One.
