One of my favorites interviews. Love this show and in-depth questions

I’ve been faithfully listening to Talk Easy since Sam had a conversation with my friend Morgan Parker. The art of conversation is, admittedly, difficult especially in a country where listening and thinking thoughtfully isn’t encouraged. Sam’s conversations every week remind me that being engaged...Read full review »

I was looking for deep dive interviews with Lily Gladstone and found Sam and Talk Easy. I feel like I stumbled on a treasure. My time is precious and I want to spend it with those who know and care about their own humanity enough to know ours. Thank you Sam, seeing yourself and your guests is a...Read full review »

Every episode I’ve listened to, and I’ve listened to a lot of them, has been wonderful. Sam gets the best out of his guests by his empathy and thorough research. The interviews are always interesting, even when I didn’t know the guest to start with.

I love the vulnerability and honesty that Sam is able to have with his guests. So often artists are marketing something, but these conversations live outside of that and instead spark introspection and act as inspiration for listeners.

Sam hosts such tender, intimate conversations with some of my favorite artists. I feel like I learn something about the world from these conversations. If I'm not familiar with the guest, I usually walk away from the episode watching or reading their works. Like I watched Dan Levy's new...Read full review »

I usually get my podcast recommendations from other podcasts, so how I found this show also has a story. I was listening to a Longform (another great podcast! Would likely review Sam Fragoso’s episode. I’d never heard of him or his show but what merits a shoutout is the intimate interview style...Read full review »

Sam is as unique as the people he shares his time and space with on this podcast. Each episode remarks on the incredible skill he processes as he investigates humanity through carefully curated research and deep human connection. I am so thankful it exists. I come away from Every. Single. Episode expanded in some way. Sam’s conversations distill the best thinking his guests have to offer—and that’s saying a lot considering the staggering insight and breadth of experience they bring. This show is kind of like its own universe.

I look forward to each episode. I savor the joy and profundity of the human connection in each episode. It’s a balm for troubled times.

Caught your interview with the one, and sadly only, David Remnick. If they are all this good, winner winner chicken dinner. You really hit all the right notes. I’ve heard too many podcast interviews that don’t say anything, or get at anything, with the same guests that cycle from podcast to...Read full review »

Meh
Marginally Inside Baseball: host interviews famous people and they act coy. It’s pretty decent for Sunday morning

I am consistently amazed (as obviously most of his guests are) at first, how deeply Sam prepares for each episode, but moreso how genuinely engaged and honest the resultant episodes are for that obviously loving preparation. Just keep it up, Sam.

I’m so moved by several interviews done by Sam, including the latest one with David Remnick. Somehow Sam is able to dig deeper into the psyche of his interviewees than other hosts.

I’m 56 years old, a former photojournalist who sat in on a lot of interviews. Many quite boring. Sam is never boring, sam is professional, personal & easy listening. He is the best. I never regret listening to Sam’s interviews. Sam goes there with all of his guests. The amount of research that goes into preparing for each episode is astonishing. These aren’t just interviews, these are real conversations. I laugh, cry, and leaving each episode more informed and empathetic.

I know “deeply” and “entertaining” are an odd combination of words but quite fitting for this podcast. Sam goes deep AND the conversations are entertaining. Intellectual, emotional, artistic. Such a good use of an hour on a Sunday morning.

I don’t understand how Sam does it. He’s an amazing researcher. His interviews are deep diving and invasive in the most complex and disarming way. He makes me laugh. He makes me cry. Sam Fragoso is a truly phenomenal interviewer. I’m a longtime listener of Talk Easy, and the time and care put into these conversations week after week is unmatched. If you’re looking for a new podcast to listen to, I’d wholeheartedly recommend this one. The Rupi Kaur episode is one of my favorites!

I’ve been listening to Talk Easy for years now, and easily still one of the best podcasts out there! Such great conversations and they always have the best guests with such interesting stories! Highly recommend and hope this show blows up to even more people - I tell all my friends about it

Sam does such a deep dive with each guest. His brilliant interviewing style, wit and grace is like no other. He should be a late night host! I listen to so many pods Sam’s voice and subject matter is so captivating. The new Terry Gross.

i really wanted to like this show…great guests…but this guy is so fake…just cuz he interviews talented people, it doesn’t make him talented…plus that whisper thing to draw you in is so desperate…

Each time I think I’m not interested in hearing a conversation on a podcast, Talk Easy turns that idea around. I become so connected with the conversation and I feel so much empathy; no matter the guest. I also learn so much about people. Which is hard to get from reading bios or interviews.
