Absolutely Hooked!
The name says it all. Talk Easy with Sam Fragoso is a relaxing, more intimate alternative to the traditional interview format. The up-and-coming podcast resides in the grey area between interview and therapy session. Conversations ebb and flow, often taking on a life of their own. Although you can tell Fragoso approaches each conversation with a set course, he has shown no restraint in going off-road. He often allows guests to take the wheel, steering the conversation in directions ordinarily unavailable in a more structured talk show. Being usually one on one, there is a level of intimacy most reminiscent of the leisurely conversation had among friends. Sometimes, when I’m lonely, I’ll set the speakers in the dining room and head to the kitchen where I begin a meal. By the second glass of wine, I absolutely believe I’m cooking dinner for two of my best pals! Fragoso does an unparalleled job at bringing the comfort and familiarity of genuine conversation to a podcast. Why hang out with my real friends when I can hang out with such guests as, Alan Arkin, Don Cheadle, Lauren Lapkus, Eric Andre, and many more! I know I like a good conversation as much as anyone else, so that’s why, for dinner one night a week, I Talk Easy.

One of my favorite podcasts -- Sam does an excellent job getting his subjects' guards down so it can be a really honest conversation.Read full review »
