“On the Rangers episode Eamonn O’Neill told us that the 10-15k Rangers support in George Square ‘Attacked the police en masse’. This is a complete fabrication that he then doubled down on after being called out for it on Twitter. The real figures will likely be as low as 200.
Cosgrove allowed this complete fabrication to be presented as fact without any challenge. He also allowed no distinction to be made by a small number of hooligans and the wider Rangers support (who were not there)
Eamonn also gave credibility to a fabricated tape showing the RFC players apparently chanting F the Pope. Scotland now heads down a dangerous path where invented sectarianism is used to attack a club for the crime of having a majority Pro Union fan base. An issue many would find worthy of discussion that will be completely ignored on this show.”
