“I love the podcast, but this one left me a bit befuddled.
Why is it body shaming only includes being ‘overweight’?
It does not!!
I’ve been body shamed since a child for being thin.
It’s just as damaging - actually it’s worse!!
It’s been deemed ok to call someone skinny, thin, anorexic, etc. because - I don’t know why!!
The insults I’ve endured are so hurtful, rude, and flat out mean! It’s not only to my face, but behind my back.
People assume I’m going to be mean and unfriendly because of the way I look. Thank e actually had someone come up to me and say ‘I expected you to be a snob because your so thin’. Who would say that to someone overweight?? Nobody!
Maybe because I was made fun of for so many decades that it’s caused me to have more compassion for everyone. God is always in control regardless of the reason. I truly believe that!
But I’m expected to laugh along because ‘everyone wants to look like you’.
I have no curves. I work so hard to get something resembling a grown woman. And I’m still boxy like a 12 year old boy. Btw I’m 46 years old.
Now that I’ve said all that, I love the space you’re exploring. Please keep at it!
Please - next time look at both sides please 💕💕
Look up ‘skinny shaming’”
