These gents are some real folks who give great insight and opinions on all sorts of docs. No fake news here. I especially like the honest regret reviews. Hilarious!

I haven’t heard many Docs Podcasts in the past but I will tell you this… This podcast knew there was a niche and filled it BIG TIME. Sturdy and the boys crush it every week and if you have a chance, check out the Epidodes with “Empire of Dreams”, “Bob Lazar: Area 51 & Flying Saucers”, and...Read full review »

I enjoyed a really engaging conversation with Sturdy and the gang when they interviewed me about my documentary Salvage. I've done many interviews in support of the film and this was one of my favorites - the guys were knowledgable about film, fun and easy to talk to and it was clear that...Read full review »

Sturdy and his co-hosts are sensational. We are grateful they invited us on the show to discuss our documentary film, “The Ringmaster.” It is evident in the way they conduct their interviews that they genuinely care about documentary films and filmmakers and are passionate about shining a light...Read full review »

Thank you Sturdy & Brian for taking the time to do a podcast like this! Our access to video is so fragmented these days, and it is a great service to provide a forum for in depth discussion of indie documentaries. I apprecaited the opportunity to speak with you and share the behind the scenes...Read full review »

Speak very well and go over the things I question when watching a documentary. I can’t tell you how many times I get into a documentary and end up harrying it but this pod cast has made it so I know what I am getting into before I commit. Keep up the great work.

Sturdy and Tod are two loveable hosts who also happen to be very well-read and thoroughly researched. Each episode features an interview with a documentary filmmaker and covers ground relating to their films as well as some of their favourite documentaries - often with surprising results! There are some great podcasts on narrative films and tv shows but too few on documentaries. Nice to be able to sdrill down with the filmmakers and get the backstory on how the films were shot and edited. Hard to get this info elsewhere. Thanks!

These guys clearly love documentaries, and I appreciate that they cover films that are still in their festival run alongside films which are already on Netflix, etc. As streaming platforms become more fractured, and viewers have to work harder to seek out the films they are interested in,...Read full review »

If you like to watch documentaries, it’s all it seems these guys do, and they give some pretty good recommendations. Who ever writes the synopsis always misspells “Tod”’s name. There should be two ‘d’s. Also I know there was a really good documentary out of the Scranton,PA PBS station about the...Read full review »

The hosts go into great detail about the documentaries. 🎥 I love it. I wish they'd add some Amazon Prime, HBO and Hulu docs soon. But this is a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ documentary podcast for sure. Loved The Toys That Made Us episode. If you're on the fence just download the episode that...Read full review »

I had so much fun being interviewed on this podcast. The host brought on 2 fans of my film to ask me questions they've been wanting to know since seeing my film at Fantastic Fest. What’s cool about this podcast is that they get the directors or subjects of a documentary on the the podcast to do interviews! It’s great to hear what the directors have to say about their own documentaries and others.

There aren’t lots of podcasts out there on documentaries, so finding this one was clutch. I’m pretty obsessed with docs now that Netflix pumps out so many good ones, so it’s awesome to be able to hear their theories and thoughts after I watch one. Keep crushing it.
