Please change some things
I have been a loyal fan of this podcast for over a year now but things have been going down hill lately. One of the things that bother me is the repetition of the rewards for patreon that takes up a significant amount of time each episode. I have no problem with a quick shout out to patreon at the end of an episode as listeners should be allowed to contribute to content creators that they enjoy. However, the frequency and desperation for donations bothers me. $15 a month for a bonus episode is a bit on the high side but is OK. Other podcasts have bonus episodes for less, but TDR now has the luxury of being in a niche category. However, $75 for a one time food review is ridiculous. Why in the world would I contribute that amount of money and pay just to have someone eat food and review it? I mean, there's TripAdvisor, yelp, honorablerat, dtb, dfb for that. Does that mean that tdrnow or tdr explorer will not conduct any further food reviews without this donation? It just rubs me the wrong way. Please, consider adjusting your patreon rewards. This doesn't sit well with me, and I'm sure some other listeners as well.Read full review »
