Because They Begged
It’s a little hard to sum up Tea & Trails succinctly so let me put it like this - you know when you’re nervously stood in the toilet queue pre-race, and you’re trying to tune in not only to the very funny conversation in front of you where 2 running buddies are describing the worst, and frankly appalling , toilet debacles they’ve had mid race , whilst also attempting to eavesdrop on an indepth & informed conversation behind you concerning different successful fueling strategies if you’re prone to being a bit of a vomer, and then you’re own running buddy comes to find you to worriedly talk thru & seek your advice on what footwear they should choose as they know you’re a shoe geek , & attempts to drag you out of the toilet queue & over to a trade stand to look at the latest carbon plated trail shoe that they NEED to add to their 1000 pair running shoe collection ? Well it’s like that . Plus some very nuanced & intelligent coaching advice, the best I’ve heard on any podcast . Plus occasional inadvertent smut talk as Gary plunges head first into a sea of smut via the odd inelegant phrase , and then is caught like a cat in headlights as he can’t decide whether to swim rapidly to shore or plunge on out into the swell. Plus interviews with the sort of runners we all secretly hero worship & want to be - those non professional elites who somehow manage to be smokin’ fast whilst having a full time job & busy life . If you’re a trail runner, frankly it’s a bit embarrassing that you’re not a listener already , so go listen to the back catalogue and make out that you were an early adopter.

I started listening to this podcast because I heard a northeast accent which isn’t too common on a running podcast! Love the honesty, laughs and tears . Thankyou Eddie and Gary what a brilliant listen 🙌
