Helps to reduce anxiety and increase relaxation
I actually do have a chronic condition, Lyme disease. I have more issues with anxiety than pain and these address that issue a lot because it reduces the fear around things which then also allows my body to fully relax which is when it heals. The majority of the battle with that condition, as with many others, is simply learning to live with the symptoms while working on the underlying issue. I know from past experience that if I don’t heal my mind and learn how to use it to help my body, my body won’t heal despite treatment. With pain, or some other chronic issue, there’s a lot of anxiety and tension around it. These teach you how to reduce those issues which then also reduce the pain or distress. I’m able to relate it to my therapy and why I have issues with not feeling safe. Even though these are short, it really helps me to learn how to feel safe which reduces distress and anxiety.
