“I’m on my 3rd reread (re-listen? I’m an audiobook guy)of the series now and just discovered the show, serendipitously I’m actually right around where the group is at present.
I’m a huge fan of the Malazan series and I know I’ll be re-experiencing it more than once in the future, probably forever in all honesty, but literally nobody I know has read the books nor has any amount of pressure on my part gotten any friends to start, their loss.
It’s so great to listen to 3 intelligent but down to earth people who can speak unfiltered about their experience with the series in a very similar way and tone as I would with my friends (if they were cool enough to read the series. I’m looking at you, Josh.)
Cannot recommend the Malazan series enough and, in the process, cannot recommend this podcast enough. Great breakdown of events and even I have had stuff clarified by the podcast, it’s a great resource to any fan, new or old.
I mean, if it’s got not only the approval but is legit followed and listened by to Erikson himself.”
