Excellent episode!!

One of my favorite podcasts. I love hearing straight from the authors and journalists who have poured so much of themselves into research and reporting. It almost feels like a short-form deep dive (oxymoron, I know!). It’s a rare perspective. The variety of cases is engaging and Kate is skilled...Read full review »

Was a must listen! Best episode yet.

This podcast is different than most of the shows I follow as it is told by the guest rather than the host/investigative journalist and is the perfect length, tone, and mood to listen to just about anytime of day. The authors she has on are great at giving us the best of their stories without...Read full review »

Why is so much information exposed in the trailer? Example S11. I almost don’t need to listen to the episodes. The entire story is outlined. What fun is this? The other thing that was difficult was listening to the narration of one of the interviewees, The Shell Lake Massacre. This author sounds...Read full review »

First “often” is pronounced “Offen.” The T is silent. Second your hatred of white people and white men is tiresome. “The patriarchy.” So boring. You apply present standards to historical figures. In King Phillips War you say only Indians were killed. Those mean white people. The Indians gave...Read full review »

Loved the episode but your guest sounded like she was talking through a bad land line connection. Hard to listen to.

I love anything Kate Winkler Dawson, but I’ve noticed a big increase in the amount of and length of ads. It makes these otherwise excellent podcasts harder to listen to, and less enjoyable. Despite Karen and Georgia complaining about “capitalism,” they seem to be ok with raking it in!

Very thoughtful coverage and interviews, glad to listen to such an experienced and informed expert.

Love each episode, love the concept of interviewing the authors of these historical cases. Kate puts in a lot of work on all her podcasts and it shows

I enjoy historical true crime and I find Kate’s way of uncovering the story and talking to her authors/interviewees to be so satisfying. I also listen to her other podcast with Paul Holes (Buried Bones) and that’s fabulous too. I’m worried that one day I’m gonna run out of episodes, as I...Read full review »

I think Kate Winkler-Dawson is a great host, she gives her guests plenty of room to speak. And and there's a really interesting array of stories so it's a good way to discover authors and filmmakers. Really loved hearing Roxanna Asgarian, and reading her eye-opening book We Were Once a...Read full review »

I understand the need to monetize, but the number and length of ads is just too much for me. They used to be shorter and easier to bypass, now it’s too much of the episode. Loved the content, but I just could care less about pretty litter, June’s journey or hot cocoa.
Bobbie403 via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 09/14/24
Kate Winkler Dawson is by far one of the best true crime podcasters out there. Everything is deeply researched, sensitively presented with warmth and when it fits, humor. Love the podcast.

I just binged through season 12 of Ten Fold More Wicked and at the end, Kate announces that this is the last of the show. She will be focusing on Wicked Words and Buried Bones going forward. That made me sad and compelled me to write this review. I just love Kate as an author, writer and podcast...Read full review »

At first I was only listening to the Ten Fold More Wicked episodes. And I loved them and looked forward to listening every week and hearing the continuation of the tales. I’m so sad to hear this is the last season. I have loved these seasons of TMW. I have listened to them all at least 3 times through. Kate is a lovely story teller and I’m grateful to have journeyed into the past with her!!

I've been truly touched by the incredible work by this podcast and its team, both Tenfold More Wicked and Wicked Words. Say it isn’t so! I love this podcast and just learned this may be the final season. I love Kate’s writing style, her calming voice, and her research topics. I actually traveled to Boston from CA just because she makes me fall in love with any place she covers. At least I still have Buried Bones.

Love this podcast, one of my favourites. I enjoy Kate’s story telling immensely. The historical attention to detail really brings these stories alive and the insights from modern-day family members are compelling. This podcast is ideal for any true crime fan.

I love listening to KWD, and the thoroughness she puts into her podcasts. I was sorry to hear, while listening to MFM, that Season 12 will be the last for Tenfold More Wicked. I’m hoping she continues with Wicked Words and Buried Bones! Great job Kate!
tcrazyhouse5 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 05/23/24
i love KWD and stuck with these seasons for a while but it’s obvious there isn’t enough detailed information available on these old stories to support this many episodes. The unfunny and unsupportable conjecture is hard to listen to.
lynnskips via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 05/21/24
That claim is just silliness. Imagine how many descendants of the! “great, great, great grandmother “ have NOT become axe murderers. Also, if places are cursed by previous tragedies, Europe must be overridden by ghosts. A waste of time.

I LOVE this podcast so much more than the typical true crime podcast. However, in the April 15 2024 episode one of the experts says “they were burning witches 90 miles away.” I assume he was talking about Salem, and that is factually incorrect.
