Accents of adventure
Having only recently found this podcast, I’m hooked. It’s wonderful to hear remembered tales of adventure first hand, from real people. And it stuck me why, having listened to so many outdoorsy podcasts from across the globe, why I connected so instantly to this one. Being a Yorkshireman with a strange sliding accent, it’s somehow so familiar and gratifying to hear many other regional tones spoke by those being interviewed. Having grown up with the media mostly narrating in the Queens English, and having spend adulthood listening to tones from over the world, to hear the undulating dialects of my home country is inspirational. Just like hearing Palin speak of 80 days travelling way back when, in a sheffield accent, my home town. I feel inspired to listen to ordinary folk do extraordinary things, ordinarily. Excellent stuff, crack on!

Really interesting, great interviews. Would be good if each episode was longer.

Fantastic podcast. Good variety and the host does not fish for the standard answers from his guests but let’s them go off piste which leads us to some really interesting places. I have learned so much and broadened myself. My goto podcast when walking the dogs.
