I’ve been a huge fan of the podcast for many years and listened to over 100 episode. However I feel like the content has shifted away significantly from the content of the earlier episodes with there now being less stories of big inspiring adventures and more of a focus of social issues which has...Read full review »

I have listened to my fair share of travel and adventure podcasts, but this show is something different. Matt engages with his guests in such a genuine manner and asks truly thoughtful questions to people that have done truly remarkable things. The show is extremely inspiring.

I have only just found this podcast and I am already hooked. The first one was the Anna Mcnuff episode. I have read most of her books so was interested in learning more about her and the podcast did not disappoint. It is obvious that the host has a brilliant understanding of what it’s like to be...Read full review »

Matt has a probing yet laid-back approach to teasing deep seated information, feelings and thoughts from his guests. The depth of information regarding travel around our incredible planet, what this uncovers, where it’s heading and what we can do is pretty much unrivalled. This is a very...Read full review »

Engaging host with consistently excellent guests. Love the blend of adventure, relationships with nature, exploration with big arm-chair philosophy questions about life, meaning, and purpose. Favorite podcast by far.

I really enjoy hearing about the various guest you have on the show. For me what stands out is the style of interviewing you have. It is not sensational or aggressive. Where you ask questions, but you let the person tell their story. Brilliant.

Always excellent, but this episode with Alex was exceptional. Right up there with the Emily Chappell & Alishba ones as the most memorable. Please keep up with the “woke” nonsense. Definitely a badge of honour and you know you are getting it right.

I used to really enjoy this podcast, but I am SO disappointed that it is facilitating greenwashing taking place by being sponsored by BA and promoting flying and the destruction of the planet when so many of the adventures and adventurers it features are all about loving and safeguarding the...Read full review »

I’m a female listener in the states and have been subscribed to the podcast from the beginning (back when it was Terra Incognita). I love this podcast and recommend it to everyone. The Adventure Podcast has changed my life. It’s rare that I can sit and take in a podcast usually due to the host, but Matt is excellent at guiding and navigating the genuinely interesting conversation with his guests. What I love about these podcasts is the variety. Adventure is subjective so I love hearing the diverse ways people embrace that. Matt remains focused on the person in question, unlike so many other interviewers who can’t help but shimmy in the spotlight. It’s my go to because I find it so...Read full review »

Don’t usually review, but Matt Pycroft and team have done something exceptional. I began listening for the thoughtful discourse with adventurers like Saunders and Anker and Cool, but the depth of discussion far exceeds adventure and is so often philosophical. Wow, just wow. I am not an explorer, climber or what one might call an adventurer AND I love these podcasts more than anything else out there. This is a comment not just about the Bonnington episode but all the episodes. Matt has a great way of getting the most out of his guests . He believes - and few podcast hosts do - that the show is not all about the presenter .
