Who remembers the halcyon days Brian Johnson CMJ Henry Blofeld Tony Cozier et al? Thank goodness for the one remaining beacon of light the wonderful Johnathan Agnew. I know things move on but the non descript individuals and an endless list of women have eroded TMS beyond all recognition 🥲

I keep checking in to see if there are podcasts following each of current series but still stuck on the 'golf day' one. Would love to hear Michael's thoughts on each of the matches in the series. Why no reviews please?Read full review »

1) Less pundits with lisps 2) No more adverts (especially those promoting your own podcasts by those arrogant self-serving employees)

Why won’t cricket authorities do the obvious thing! If there’s bad light in a test match or indeed a red ball game, then introduce the pink ball under lights!!! By doing so spectators get better value for their money and arguably it adds a new level of intrigue and excitement! Not to mention...Read full review »

You have said a number of times that Associate Nations need more coverage but when Scotland play Australia in a T20 series what happens? It was a great series. A tough, but much needed, learning experience for the Scottish squad. Very well hosted by the Grange Cricket Club. Thanks to Australia...Read full review »

I hate to say it but his voice is incredibly irritating - as is his writing for the bbc. Everyone else are insightful/relaxing to listen to.

Absolutely brilliant this is a great podcast I’m quite young but this is still really good 👍

Sad to see so many misogynistic comments in previous reviews; it would be nice to think that we had evolved more as a society. TMS continues to provide the soundtrack to our sporting Summer. My only suggestion would be to add a little lyricism and poetry to the mix. The programme owes its...Read full review »

After many years I have sadly unsubscribed. The latest set of pundits (Mills, Windsor, Cross, Hartley) either know little about the game at large, or are not eloquent enough to communicate. I exclude the tremendous Kevin Howells from this but don’t get me started on Stephan ‘Phil Space” Shemit....Read full review »

Just a shame they box tick with some of the newer members of the team.

I listen to TMS religiously, meanwhile the two ladies broadcast under the TMS banner, why??? They are completely useless, they should have their own podcast separately as they are shocking to listen to, they shouldn’t be any where near the TMS umbrella. Cmon BBC, shine a light on the both of...Read full review »

A shame this BBC show ignores the important and much improved Irish and Scottish sides. A real failure form a broadcaster that is supposed to represent people from these nations (it’s a united Ireland team after all), and have a stake in the progress of the global game

Marking as one star until BBC stop playing these wooden and irritating opening messages about starting a podcast. I listen to at least one of your pods a day so it’s infuriating

Cool Podcast

Aggers is a dinosaur that refusing to recognise that applying old approaches that were tried, tested and failed would somehow be the solution after years of such an approach continuing to fail. Really drags this content down the tiresome old timers

Every time I hear there’s a new podcast I do a little dance.

Simon Mann comes across rather overtly sexist.

Unfortunately this stream covers all the cricket content from across the BBC, which doesn’t allow you to only subscribe to your favourite shows or format of the game. If it were only the shows I wanted, covering the men’s tests, then I would unreservedly give 5 stars. The fact that I have to...Read full review »

Great show! The Ashes coverage over the last 6 weeks has been next level!!

Wonderful podcasts, often (but not exclusively) taken from test matches. TMS is an amazing institution and the BBC should do everything it can to preserve this institution.

Such an enjoyable experience, listening to such an amazing broadcast. Only one thing though, please please please when you’re introducing someone don’t put the music in the background that’s all.

Aggers and co present a wonderful summary of each day’s cricket with the excellent pundits and special guests. A huge value add to any England series. Only one request - please stop starting the outro music while you’re still talking to a guest. Really distracting and annoying! Otherwise,...Read full review »

Once, like TMS, a standard bearer. Sadly no more. Almost impossible to listen to Hartley amongst others, so many cliches. So very disappointed in BBC cricket overall these days.

Aussies are jealous of the English because everyone is talking about them? What did I just listen to…these three are living in a completely different dimension

It used to me my go to media source. After the Sunak love in today will no longer listen. BBC impartiality for all to see....

Duckett interview. Agnew is so negative always picking on the supposed faults. Get over it. This is how England are playing and people are tuning in to watch after years of Australia domination. We may lose a few along the way but it’s so refreshing having a different attitude towards the game.

Can’t quite believe a lot of the reviews. I agree, I miss mr boycott immensely. The treatment of Michael Vaughan has been appalling. But to turn reviews into a font of drivel railing against “the woke brigade” really makes you sound like “the snowflakes”

Please separate off the crude and self-indulgent No Balls podcast from the actual TMS one. Or, better yet, have a proper podcast focusing on women’s cricket with well-informed, well-spoken women presenters. Thanks!

Wonderful in-depth discussion of events and strategies in cricket today. Cutting it down to 20-25 min would make it perfect!

The name of this podcast is test match special. These days most of the content is about cricket which isn’t test matches. This used to be my absolute favorite podcast now I spend a lot of my time skipping through the non-test match content. Very irritating
