New to this fantastic podcast, but no matter because the education, entertainment, and information it provides is timeless. BBC tech stuff is priceless, but so many great interviews.

I love this show. My only critique is the intro song is ear splittingly loud in relation to the dialogue audio. It’s caught me off guard many times, I have to remember to make sure my ear bud volume is jogged way back. Aside from that my absolute favourite program, excellent work!

Listened to the interview with John Raham and it was great! Thanks another person to interview might be Jeff zipp out of Vancouver as well. I also loved hearing your little one in the background I agree it’s a nice touch to leave that stuff in. Thank you and great work!

Joe's curation here is straightforward, humble, and insightful. Interviews with recording engineers continues to be an engaging source of insights and perspectives--sure to perk up period enthusiasts and professionals alike. The true gem, though, remains in hearing the stories themselves unfold.Read full review »

In depth interviews and analysis for folks interested in the art and science of audio recordings. A must-listen for anyone who cares about that kind of thing!

Somebody remembers how to record music properly! This is by far the best music production podcast available, utterly fantastic

Well presented with a variety of interesting guests. If you are interested in 60s recording or, indeed, recording in general you will enjoy the anecdotes and there is plenty of technical info for the nerdier listener. I look forward to the weekly episodes. Highly recommended.

This podcast is as unique as it is necessary. A bold pursuit of knowledge through the golden age of recording and composition. Musicians in the digital age need this info more than ever.

A brilliant podcast for any fan of the sound of The Beatles on record. Endlessly entertaining and full of love for that era.

There’s nothing like finding a podcast that addresses a subject SO niche ... I can’t believe this exists 🙌

Behind the scenes of music production, the analog way. With special focus on 60ies sound - the era that invented Hi-Fi and still cant be beat by todays digital tools.

Just the podcast I was looking for. Not only is Joe a fantastic musician and drummer himself but also the perfect host for a podcast about everything Beatles and back in the day recordings. He has guests who provide a lot of useful information and anecdotes about how everything was done in the...Read full review »

I’ll keep listening, but, so far, the host hasn’t seemed to spend enough time researching his guests to ask less surface questions. Also, please work on your “uh” an “um”. You might as well be saying “no what I’m saying” in between each sentence. Not every space needs sound. Also, so far, very...Read full review »

I just listened to the first episode and really enjoyed it, the host was extremely professional and his enthusiasm for the subject was obvious. This is just the kind of podcast I’ve been searching for and hope new episodes are regular.
