I'd just like to say that hearing the last part of your podcast with Rebecca, it got me all choked up. I grew up in England (I'm a woman) and have always loved and played football thanks to my father being nothing but facilitating along with my brothers. And then moving to the U.S. it was just night and day with the actual OPPORTUNITIES to play football and honestly how women represent football more than men in America, in my opinion. I once saw a little boy wearing an Alex Morgan jersey, it was incredible. So hearing Rebecca's story of how she's risen above this is both frustrating and inspiring that she experienced this abuse, but rose above it. I'm not surprised, having been to my share of matches in UK, it can feel so hostile at times when all you want is to enjoy some proper football. I agree, there needs to be some sort of Kick Sexism Out of football campaign, the FA needs a reality check. Rebecca, let's hope the next generation is ingrained with the knowledge that sexism is wrong and that women BELONG in football.
