“Good podcast, and great example of 'american' insight into british football. Gives insight into 'papers' news and insightful understanding of intricacies in team selection and tactics, that many pundits gloss over to American audiences. Also like how he's fairly neutral on his coverage and insight.
Would offer that, a small/dedicated time should be given to team set up and tactics for a particular team( maybe the national NBC match) to offer more education to new American fans.
Moment for me: 89-90 match on espn at 6am on a Monday morning of Liverpool. First time I 'heard' fans and saw the passion. Felt it, and the grass was so green. Molby, Barnes and Grobbelar stood out and I was hooked. Later in 96 I went to England for football with some frat brothers and the first match was West Ham Derby. “Kyle is brilliant. A great soccer commentator. No BS. Says it like it is. And I completely agree VAR needed in the sport. Time to join the present. Some players would not be able to get away with their nonsense any longer. Great podcast. I want some more.”
