Just for once
I would love to find just one podcast out there, on a tv show about a context outside of 21st century America, that approaches the show on it's own terms. These people aren't us, they are not facing the kinds of problems we face. The stakes on the line are nothing like what they are for us, how then does it make any kind of sense to judge them as if they live in the kind of world we do? I get so tired of listening to self congratulatory progressive trying to apply a morality that doesn't work anywhere but where an abundance wealth insulates them from the trail of tears life has been and is for most of humanity on shows or places in time where such wealth doesn't exist. It really is too bad because the material The 100 presents us with is worthy, in both content and delivery, of engagement on its own terms. It may be more than a chance to drone on about how good the presenters progressive values are, it might even inform us in new and interesting ways. It other words, it might be art. But unfortunately this podcast doesn't explore any of this. It keeps to the mold of every other podcast out there on nearly any other subject. If you want to here progressives self congratulate themselves while giving a recap on The 100 select one at random. If you land on this one, it is as good as any other.Read full review »

You don’t have to point out how progressive or liberal the show is. Just let the show speak for itself. You use the word RePrEsEnTaTiOn 1,000 times per episode and it’s so unnecessary. Like most of society you just HAVE to say something when a person of color dies in the show. The show equally...Read full review »
