“This is a great daily podcast covering a wide variety of astronomy-related topics (there is now also a weekly feed). There are podcasts about stargazing, notable celestial objects/events, using astronomical equipment, history of the field, profiles of important astronomers, mythology, and much more. Not much scientific knowledge is necessary and the episodes are educational but not preachy.
I tend to be a bit of a history buff so I may be biased, but I especially love the podcasts about mythology and historical ideas about the stars (3/10, 3/12, and 5/6 are among my favorites). I also highyly recommend the Feb. 13 episode, Astronomical References in Shakespeare. The volunteers putting together these podcasts obviously put some serious time and energy into making every episode worth your time. Can't wait for the second half of the year!”Read full review »
