Pointless
Unlike the movies they "review," this is one of the most meandering, unsubstantive podcasts I've had the displeasure of listening to. The first 10-15 minutes are always a prolonged commercial for A24, which I clearly already value as a brand by virtue of my listening to this podcast. They rarely discuss themes or story, also disregarding any insight into the process of the the filmmaking. Of course, if they do delve into this, it's after 40min of aimless discussion regarding how much they liked the movie and the actors in it. Also, maybe it's just me, but the sound editing on the show is abysmal. It's distant, echoey, and of the lowest quality. I find myself having to double the volume on any device I'm using to listen to this.Read full review »
