“Some of the discussions on here are dressed up as polite, rational and reasonable debate, but Helen Lewis was the final straw. I listened through the whole thing and it is vile, but masked as a friendly chat. Some of her points were so off, factually incorrect, and will actively harm the trans community. She doesn’t believe that, but it is true. It’s so hurtful. And it goes unchallenged in many places because Adam doesn’t know any better. Genuinely….why platform this person? Why do you find it interesting and intellectually challenging to debate a community that is already vilified by the media? When neither of you have any lived experience of that? This will fuel more negative and ill-informed conversions and opinions about the trans community, especially trans children.”
