“Bladdy hell.. poor Adam! Feels like he well and truly can’t win on the culture wars stuff. People saying they’re ‘hurt’ that he spoke to Helen Lewis, and calling it the ‘final straw’ - have a word with yourselves. I personally was a little disappointed when I listened .. it sounded to me like Adam was sceptical about what she was saying and even seemed annoyed/ combative at times. This doesn’t align with my views (I think HL is completely reasonable), but he’s entitled to feel how he feels. It goes to show he can’t win though; half of these comments berate him for not sticking up for biological women, half of them for talking to Helen in the first place. I think he’s brave for even having the conversation - and he’s not obliged to think like anyone else but himself.”
