Entertaining and informative, easy recommendation to history podcast fans
Quickly became part of my regular podcast rotation. History podcasts can be very hit-or-miss in their approach for me. It is great when they approach the subject matter seriously and with some academic rigor, but this sometimes results in a dull podcast. I think this one strikes the right balance, and it reminds me, in tone, of the History of Rome podcast, which is one of my favorites. Certainly worth adding if you have even a passing interest in the topic

This podcast does a fabulous job of centering itself around memorable characters and illuminating moments in history.
