Excellent introduction to music from the sixties on
I am not a music nerd. I am however a musician and have been a singer songwriter, and I don’t understand loads of musical terms. I do however love a lot of music and missed out on a lot of contemporary music because during the nineties I listened to fifties music. I realised this left a gap in my knowledge. Like why do Radiohead fans seem to despise Coldplay? Its all a bunch of teams I don’t understand, isn’t it all just music? Anyway I listened to this. And I learned a lot. It is entertaining to hear the two podcasters discussing their taste and opinions and I have gone on to download hundreds and hundreds of songs to listen to. I think I am beginning to understand what post-punk means so that I will be ready next time I meet a real life music nerd and hopefully won’t repel them with my ignorance.
